An History of my Life (short, I promise!)
I was born in Milano (Italy) on September 23rd, 1975.
This means I stand exactly between fastidiously precise Virgo and hedonist, artsy Libra - which proves horoscopes are crap, since neither description fits me very well.
I graduated in Modern Languages and now I'm working as an editor for two local publishers, meaning I have both a full-time job and an occasional one as reviewer of fantasy/Sci-Fi books (the second one I really love, although unfortunately I need the other to pay my bills!)
I live in Milano with my family and a sweet female turtle called Carolina.
My other hobbies besides miniature painting include: reading fantasy novels, stitching temari balls, painting rocks and feathers, cooking, role-playing, and collecting pictures (as well as gadgets) depicting pigs.
Well, that's it, more or less... thanks for reading; now you can go back to the interesting stuff - ANY OTHER SECTION, that is!
My Painting Space
The "show the world your working area" thread is a well-established tradition in every painting-related community.
So, here's mine: a picnic table on our balcony.
If you're thinking it looks cool, please consider that:
- people who live in the flats upstairs regularly shake dust from their carpets or crumbles from their tablecloth;
- the linden trees you can spot in the background - while they provide a nice sight and a delicious shadow - shed tons of pollen, so whenever I leave my painting stuff outside for a while it'll be all sticky;
- the flowers my mother likes to keep attract wasps, bumblebees and other nasty, buzzing things;
- I can only use it for a couple of months anyway, since the weather's simply too cold for me to paint outside during most of the year - so, if I want to paint I have to settle on the kitchen table, among assorted vegetables, drying sheets of pastry and so on...
Here's me... Hey, if you've followed me so far you deserve a laugh!
